PRF Microneedling

For this medical grade facial you are using your own blood to create plasma. The Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), which contains several growth factors, is microneedled into the skin to promote skin regeneration. The PRP re-energizes cells and increases collagen production. The PRP Plasma Facial is different than microneedling because PRP is applied using the SkinPen topically and transdermally. 

What to Expect:

During your PRP Plasma Facial treatment, you will be seated comfortably in a reclined position. Your L'amour Medaesthetics Injector will draw your blood and put it in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the platelet rich plasma. That plasma will then be used for the procedure. A numbing cream will be applied for approximately ½ hour prior to procedure to make you comfortable.

The PRP is first applied topically to the skin. The skin is then aerated by the SkinPen, which produces microscopic holes. This allows an entrance into the skin (a transdermal delivery of the PRP).  After the procedure is finished we then apply the PRP topically for a second time and it is left on the skin overnight.

You should expect at least one day of down time. You will go home with PRP on the face and will have a blood-like appearance due to the microscopic holes caused by the procedure.  The next day you can wash your face. You may have imperfections in the skin for a couple of days, but you can easily cover this up with high quality mineral makeup. Because PRP has so many healing properties, your healing is drastically quicker than basic nicroneedling with hyaluronic acid.

Since PRP has so many growth factors, stimulates collagen production, and energizes cells, you should experience a reduction in fine lines, improvement of texture and tone of the skin, and improvement with dark pigmentation and scars.
